#THROWBACKTHURSDAY Dream “He loves u not”

Welcome to our KODE #THROWBACKTHURSDAYS where we highlight the greatest moment of yesteryear!

“…Girl you can pick a field full of daisies, but he’d still be my baBY”

Remember Dream? If not, let me refresh your memory! Dominating the charts and radio waves in the late 90’s/early 2000s were notable boy bands *NYSNC, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees, but equally as awesome were girl groups including Dream.

Dream was the all-girl group signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy Records pre-Danity Kane, the main foursome included Holly Blake-Arnstein, Melissa Schuman, Ashley Poole, and Diana Ortiz. Their first hit “He Loves U Not’ premiered in the fall of 2000, and eventually peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. The video for the single was quintessential Y2K with matching pink outfits, crimped hair, and choreographed dance moves.

Dream’s first full-length album It Was All a Dream, also included the hit single This is Me, and This is Me (Remix) that featured Diddy and Kain on the track. The group later joined the TRL Tour (another Y2K staple) opening for Destiny’s Child, before releasing their second studio album releasing only in France in 2005.

Dream has since then reunited and attempted a comeback going on tour with 98 Degrees, O-Town, and Ryan Cabrera as part of the 2016 My2K Tour.
