Adele’s Easy on Me moves everyone to gut wrenching tears.

After a 6 year hiatus, Adele came back like she never left.

Her come back remains with a timeless sound, heart felt lyrics that can be contextualized with any viewer/listener, and poetic imagery in her music video.

Her beginning video excerpt in ‘Easy on Me’ is a homage to her past self in her music video ‘Hello’. It’s very clear that Adele embodied her self growth through her music deeming her sound and lyrics to be nothing but classic and impactful. I mean have you seen her coat, nails and sharp winged eyeliner?!

The gut wrenching song with euphoric tone definitely confirms the way Adele previously explained her single regarding “her fraught childhood, lost marriage and the lessons learnt and unlearnt about family, love and abandonment along the way.” The theme of this new record is very clear: “Divorce baby divorce!” as Adele stated in her Instagram live.

It no longer feels like Adele is processing her feelings chasing a dream, but more so driving her own car and picking and choosing what does and doesn’t serve her.
