A look at Mugler’s SS 2022 collection featuring Megan Thee Stallion

Alongside models Bella Hadid, and Adut Akech, Megan Thee Stallion is serving up sexiness in Mugler’s new spring-summer collection. 

We all know the queen of “real hot girl shit” and her endless stream of top hits and collaborations with the likes of Cardi B, Doja Cat, and the queen of R&B, Beyonce. Megan Thee Stallion is already making history as one of the best female rappers of the modern age. When creating some of the best music to date, the best music videos are not far behind. On April 22nd, Megan Thee Stallion delivered us her new top song “Plan B;” another masterpiece of classic Stallion signature sounds and lyrics. 

But what happens when you need an edgy and seductive twist for a music video with a hint of high fashion? That’s where luxurious French designer Mugler comes in. For Megan Thee Stallion’s new “Plan B” music video, the rapper is dressed in nothing but Mugler’s new spring-summer collection; featuring the designer’s quintessential take on structured clothes with lots and lots of visible skin. 

In the “Plan B” music video, directed by Mugler’s creative director Casey Cadwallader, Megan Thee Stallion can be seen flaunting her famous curves while donning a variety of Mugler looks, the most recognizable one being a black low-cut bodysuit with mesh cutouts to give it a corset-like look. The second look, shown in the first few seconds of the music video, focuses on a cut-out black blazer on the top still giving a peek at the bodysuit underneath, yet on the bottom, the rapper wears cut-out jean-like tights that create a swirling abstract pattern around here legs. 

While Megan Thee Stallion announces the new Mugler spring-summer collection in the most hype way possible, she is not the only one behind the new line. On June 8th Mugler released a promotional cinematic masterpiece to showcase the collection. Once again directed by Casey Cadwallader, the film shows the brilliant and beautiful faces sashaying around in countless cut-out denim, suit, and mesh outfits, some more revealing than others. Such faces in the new Mugler production include models Bella Hadid, Adut Akech, Aweng Chuol, Amber Valletta, and Raynara Negrine as well as Lourdes Leon, the daughter of pop icon Madonna.
