According to Aesthetics Wiki, “Barbiecore is a girly aesthetic inspired by Mattel fashion doll Barbie.” It is so popular that some of Hollywood’s favorite celebrities have dressed up in it.

Cardi B wore one of the first Barbiecore outfits of the year during a night out in West Hollywood on February 13th. She wore a light pink Chanel two-piece set, white lace-up open-toe heels, chunky silver jewelry, and a fuzzy white Chanel bag.

During the Los Angeles premiere screening of Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls on June 3rd, Lizzo wore a hot pink ensemble outfit from the Valentino Fall 2022 Collection.

At the 2022 Valentino Haute Couture Show in July, Anne Hathway wore a custom long-sleeved pink sequin dress, long and thick pink platform heels, and a matching studded shoulder bag.

At the Sunny Hill Festival in Prishtina, Kosovo, on August 4th, Dua Lipa was styled by Lorenzo Posocco in a custom Valentino Pink PP look by Pierpaolo Piccioli.

But let us not forget the fashionable side of TikTok for rocking Barbiecore too.

One of influencer Nava Rose’s most popular TikTok videos is when she put together a cute Barbiecore outfit for her friend’s birthday party back in May. She wore her fluffy pink Demonia shoes, a matching set of a pink button-up sleeve shirt and skirt, silver jewelry and hair pins, and a pink heart bag. What a way to make a fashionable entrance, Ms. Rose.
