30: Adele’s Solar Return and her Pursuit for Happiness

Adele will make her long-awaited return to the music industry with a new album on Nov. 19,

Almost six years since the release of Adele’s previous hit album, 25, and with her recent single release “Easy On Me”, these past few years for the Queen of Hearts has been nothing but transformative for the artist physically and mentally.

According to a Vogue profile, an important part of Adele’s transformation has been through rigorous weight-lifting and circuit training sessions every day, sometimes twice a day for the sake of her mental health, for the past three years and counting at Heart & Hustle, located out in West Hollywood.

On May 5, 2020, Adele debuted her new figure through Instagram, had posted a full-body picture of herself wearing an off-the-shoulder black dress with bell-bottom sleeves. This as the first update the public eye was able to see of Adele. In the Vogue profile with Abby Aguirre, Adele shared her exercise routine and how she achieved the body that we see today.

“I have a bad back and I’m always a bit hungover on Monday mornings. The lockdown has turned me into a seven-nights-a-week wine drinker,” said Adele for Vogue.

But what really pushed the creation of 30 as well as Adele’s spiritual awakening was her divorce from charity executive Simon Konecki who she was with for two years and have a nine-year-old son, Angelo.

“Everyone had to face their demons because they had so much time on their hands with nothing to distract them,” said Adele for Vogue. “They had to face themselves in isolation.”

Adele has always been the silly, bold yet naive big sister in our lives, but since her transformation gave us a piece of advice through Vogue on prioritizing ourselves.

“I was just going through the motions and I wasn’t happy,” said Adele. “Neither of us did anything wrong. Neither of us hurt each other or anything like that.”

Now tell me that isn’t something a girlfriend hasn’t already shared with you. Unfortunately, there are times in our lives where the love in a relationship simply fades away.  Adele’s transformation and how she allowed us to take a peek into her mental state is the perfect example of healthy forms of dealing with breakups or divorce, but in her case , that and heartbreak.

The Queen of Hearts also shared her interest in astrology mentioning that this year is her Saturn return. It takes 27 to 32 years for Saturn to fully orbit around the sun and return to the position it was in when you are born. During this time, Adele was asking herself existential questions such as: Who am I? What do I want to do? What makes me truly happy?

Ever since her divorce from Konecki, Adele has been on a journey to find happiness and self-love and got a little taste of her overall experience from her recent single, “Easy on Me.”

“I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he’s in his twenties or thirties, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness,” said Adele for CNN.
