True Romance: Tove Lo’s Newest Single

TOVE LO’S NEW SINGLE TRUE ROMANCE MIRRORS THE 1993 CLASSIC FILM.

On June 21st, 2022, Tove Lo released her newest single True Romance named after the 1993 film of the same name directed by Tony Scott.

As described on the official website for Genius, “True Romance tells the story of someone willing to break the law to prove their love for their partner-in-crime and live a Bonnie and Clyde-esque lifestyle with them.”

Lo pays homage to the film by wearing an outfit inspired by the leading female character Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette).

In the film, Alabama’s outfit consisted of a blue bustier, a cow-printed miniskirt, blue cowboy boots, and shades. Compared to this iconic look, Lo wears a blue crop top and shorts that match with cow-printed cowboy boots.

True Romance is on Lo's fifth studio album Dirt Femme, out on October 14th!
