Kode’s weekend wrap up: Kourtney & Travis’ engagement, Kanye performs and whole lot more

This is KODE’s WEEKEND WRAP- UP where we discuss everything you missed over the last two days

TRUE LOVE DOES EXisT!!

After less than one year of dating, Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are engaged. The pop-punk IT couple of the moment announced their engagement on Sunday evening, with Kardashian posting a series of images on Instagram with the caption “forever’ tagging her boo Travis Barker.

The Blink 182 drummer surprised the reality TV star and Poosh founder Sunday night at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel where the Kardashian - Jenner crew secretly waited for the couple. Barker popped the question beachside, with a giant heart-shaped bouquet of red roses designed by famed florist and Kardashian favorite Jeff Leathem.

Elsewhere, rapper Kanye West performed live for the first time in over a year in Venice at the wedding D'Estree founder Geraldine Guiotte and Tiffany & Co EVP Alexander Arnault. West performed his hit songs “Runaway” and “Flashing Lights” in a full Balenciaga look including a mask similar to what ex-wife Kim wore at the Met Gala last month. The star-studded affair also included VIP guests Beyonce and Jay -Z ( where was our invite?.)

DC comics annual FanDome event also took place over the weekend with major announcements and first looks at some of the most anticipated films, TV shows, video games, and comic books from the DC universe.

Some of the big highlights were new trailers for The Batman, (starring Twilight star Robert Pattinson) The Flash (starring major hottie Ezra Miller) Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Gotham Knights, Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Peacemaker, and Aquaman, and Lost Kingdom.

The Batman is the highly anticipated film directed by Matt Reeves and also stars Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, as well as Colin Farrel who plays The Penguin and is set during Batman’s second year as a crimefighter which has him investigating a series of murders committed by Paul Dano’s The Riddler.
