BRITNEY IS THANKING FANS FOR HER NEW- FOUND FREEDOM
Pop queen Britney Spears took to social media on Monday, October 4, and wrote a heartfelt thank you to fans for the #FreeBritney movement.
It’s almost been a week since the Los Angeles court officially suspended her father Jamie Spears as Britney Spears’ conservator. The victory comes after fans have been petitioning since 2019 and pleading for Spears’ father to step down as conservator - a role that the court-approved in 2007 amidst Britney’s alleged meltdown. The #FreeBritney movement caught on in early 2020 with fans taking to social media and speculating that her team was controlling Britney and posting concerns over her social post and captions.
In classic Britney fashion, the ‘Womanizer’ songstress posted a video of her dancing, with the caption: “#FreeBritney movement … I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it …” Her follow-up tweet was even sweeter: “I feel your hearts and you feel mine … that much I know is true !!!!!”
The case will be back in court next month, where a judge will rule whether the conservatorship will be terminated, with a second court date is scheduled in December to finalize any financial issues.
