BALENCIAGA’S SPRING 2022 SHOW WITH THE SIMPSONS AND CELEB GUEST

Homer, Marge, Bart & all of Springfield walk the Balenciaga Runway

Changing it up at Paris Fashion Week Balenciaga enlisted the Simpsons to showcase its Spring 2022 collection!

In lieu of a traditional runway presentation, the French fashion house revealed its new collection with an animated short featuring Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, and some of Springfield’s most notorious residents.

The 10-minute short film starts off with Homer Simpson counting down the days till Marge’s birthday and procrastinating as usual amongst a tower of Duff beer, ultimately convincing creative director Demna Gvasalia to loan Marge a green gown for her birthday that she modeled through town. After being moved by her heartfelt thank you letter to the brand, Gvasalia gathers all of Springfield to appear in a Balenciaga runway show in Paris. Throughout the film, some of our favorite Simpsons characters make their modeling debut among the cartoon front row featuring animated versions of Vogue’s Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Kim Kardashian in full Balenciaga looks. 

On top of that, the red carpet-turned-runway featured a star-studded lineup modeling some of the 64 piece Balenciaga Spring 2022 collection, including Offset, Elliot Page, Amber Valletta, Lewis Hamilton, and more.
