Javon Walton as the face for the new Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG’ ‘Reverse Mocha’ release

Euphoria’s “Ashtray” is the perfect face for the perfect pair of new Cactus Jack sneakers.

The newest release of an Air Jordan sneaker in collaboration with Travis Scott has a famous face behind it. Javon Walton, who plays the gritty and loveable “Ashtray” in HBO’s hit series “Euphoria,” is behind the new promotion of Air Jordan and Travis Scott’s newest and most-wanted sneaker release of the summer: the Air Jordan 1 Low OG’ ‘Reverse Mocha.’ The sneakers, released July 21, are a new creative twist on the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Mocha” sneakers from 2019.

In a series of promotional photos, Walton poses with the sneakers slung over his shoulder, around his neck, and worn while positioned on a BMX bike. The release of the sneakers also came with a short film featuring the 16-year-old actor, titled “Don’t Get Caught.” The film is set in Los Angeles and shows Walton entering a house belonging to “T. Scott” where he then endures the lap of luxury with other kids amongst Travis Scott and Air Jordan-themed pleasures, such as video games, action figures, and a giant Air Jordan sneaker wall; all set to a Cactus Jack beat.

The shoes themselves feature a combination of a brown suede upper with ivory leather overlays and the classic reverse oversized Swoosh on the lateral side; a characteristic that is signature to the rapper’s collaborations with Air Jordan. Scarlet red accents can be seen woven on the Nike Air tongue tags as well as mismatched Cactus Jack and the retro Air Jordan Wings logos on the heel tabs of the shoes. The shoes are completed with an off-white midsole and a brown rubber outsole. The shoes retail for just over $1,000 on various sites.
