Balmain releases its first fine jewelry collections, “Emblem” and “Labyrinth”
French high jewelry just got a new name in the game.
Balmain’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, has blessed every season’s catwalks with stunning creations that embody the distinct creative visions of the house of Balmain through the years. Since 2011 when he first stepped into the role as creative director for the brand, Rousteing has transformed the French fashion house into a contemporary unstoppable force of designs that “reflect the true diverse beauty of today’s world.”
For the first time, Rouseting has revealed Balmain’s first fine jewelry collections, named “Emblem” and “Labyrinth” which are coming soon to the brand’s website. The collections are explicitly gender neutral and are made from recycled and ethical 18k gold and other ethically-sourced materials and traceable gemstones. The collections feature “signature codes from the house and its modern-meets-historic outlook” that channel the classic characteristics of Balmain’s designs.
“The house has always set itself apart by its exceptional craftsmanship,” says Rousteing in a promotional video for the new collections. “We continue building upon the house’s incredible foundation in order to introduce designs that will endure, [and] pieces that will remain forever fresh,” says Rousteing.
