BINGE ALErt: NETFLIX premieres newest reality show insiders
ON INSIDERS NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS …
Netflix just premiered its newest reality show, the binge-worthy Insiders, the show is a hybrid of Big Brother and Netflix’s own Too Hot Too Handle with a mixture of The Circle and a dash of Survivor. In other words, a reality fan’s dream!
The show is Netflix Spain’s first entry into the reality show genre and is hosted by Money Heist‘s Najwa Nimri. The show manages to switch up the reality format by having 12 potential contestants vie for the chance to enter a reality show that has the potential to make them household names. The twist is that though they think they are solely in the casting process they’ve already been selected for the show: the cameras are hidden and they’ve been rolling the entire time.
It’s a shocking revelation to the cast and a great watch for viewers as every heartfelt and cringy moment has been captured for them to watch and be played back. No one’s secrets are safe nor is what they thought they said in private, the strategies and feelings they thought they were keeping close to their hearts and allies are live and in color for their fellow contestants to see.
As an avid fan of Big Brother, this show definitely fills the void, and then some, the producers are master manipulators and psychologically torture contestants.
SPOILER ALERT
In one instance producers give an ultimatum to a vegan contestant to shoot a rabbit or leave the casting process - he opts to leave and is held in the house as one by one the other contestants take a shot. Ultimately alliances form, relationships develop, and chaos ensues.
